How is it done?
An incision is made inside the upper part of the mouth ~4cm above the gum line. Cuts are made to the front and back of the cheekbone. The cheekbone is positioned inward and backwards in the face to reduce the size of the cheeks. Using titanium plates, the position of the bone is fixed tightly to prevent any movement. We can also use dissolvable materials so that there is no visible plate in x-rays. The procedure can be customized to meet the needs of the patient.
