In conclusion, children with unpleasant childhood experience have discipline
problem in their school time. As indicated by Maziade et al. (1984) and Sanson et al.
(1991), the direct effects of difficult temperament on later externalizing behavior
problems have shown modest to moderate relations. At the very early age, parents
need to take a good care of the child, spend time with and educate the child. This can
avoid problematic attributes in their children. Psychological treatments, such as
counseling, cognitive therapy, problem solving and behavior therapy, play an
important role in building a healthy psychology development in a child. As reported
earlier, Sedlar and Hansen (2001) indicated that parents’ anger caused child behavior
problem. It is important to focus on the effort on the child’s changing developmental
status and challenges faced by parents. Emerging compilation of research on this topic
points to a need for continued examination by both practitioners and researchers alike.
More studies on this field will provide important implications for prevention and
suggestions on how to overcome the relevant problems. Therefore, it is suggested that
more research in this field should be carried out to accumulate more findings and
understandings so that as to benefit the relevant parties.
