Traditionally, empirical studies have been used widely in
the social sciences, due mainly to the concern with human
behaviour. Considering that, although Software Engineering
belongs to a technical field, it is highly attached to human
behaviour in all the development process [4]. Particularly, in
Software Engineering, empirical studies are applied as quasiexperiments
due to full randomisation (the difference between
experiments and quasi-experiments) is difficult to perform [4].
Hence, for the study, it will be used empirical strategy focused
on technology-oriented quasi-experiment. The Object of this
study is the use of augmented reality in tourism mobile
applications for enhancing on-site satisfaction.
