gives a brief summary of the content of the document,
explaining the meaning of EPS or certain other important terms found
in the document; presents the transcriptions of the
handwritten notes, dates & signatures, allowing them to be searchable
in a database; finally, allows the expert or outside
consultant to remark upon the historical context or significance of the
document. Interoperability will be slightly compromised should all
three subdivisions become conflated into a singular
element in unqualified Dublin Core. However, for the purposes of our
own project, we feel the possible loss of interoperability is outweighed
by the collaborative potential of the customization.
