Cassie was involved in a project on increasing children’s voices in the early childhood curriculum (CEIEC 2006; Olcay 2007). Her research question was, ‘How can I involve children in the routines I participate in?’ Cassie started by inviting children individually to help her to make up the beds at sleep time, as she believed that this would give them a say in what happened at sleep time.
