Qin Shihuang is also famous for constructing a tomb for himself, which included thousands of terracotta soldiers to guard him in the afterlife.
Building the tomb took 38 years, and supposedly required the labor of at least 700,000 men. After the men built the tomb, they were probably all killed.
He populated this tomb with 8,000 terracotta soldiers, 130 chariots, and 520 horses, and 40,000 bronze weapons, to protect him in the afterlife.
