Hysan Place Awarded Prestigious LEED® Platinum Green Building Certification
First LEED-CS Platinum mixed use office and vertical mall complex in Greater China
Hysan Development Company Limited (Stock Code: 0014) today announces that Hysan Place, its landmark property on 500 Hennessy Road Causeway Bay, has been awarded LEED® Platinum certification for Core and Shell by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The recognition makes Hysan Place the first LEED Platinum mixed use office and vertical mall complex in Greater China. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized program for the design, construction and operation of high performance sustainable buildings.

The 710,000 sq. ft. Hysan Place, comprising a 17-level retail mall and 15 levels of office space, is a major redevelopment project of Hysan completed in 2012. Hysan Place achieved the highest LEED Platinum certification for incorporating different environmental and energy efficient solutions into its design and construction that has a positive impact on the building itself as well as the broader community of bustling Causeway Bay.
