Currently, several technologies can be considered as possible candidates for the support of service and VM migration in virtualized LTE systems.
Live VM migration solutions, for example, have been proposed in the literature
[4], but none of these can be used efficiently to support the service continuity requirements listed above.
In [3], we argued that the best candidate enabling technology that can efficiently
be used for supporting service continuity in virtualized LTE systems is the Information Centric Networking/Content Centric Networking (ICN/CCN) technology. This paper introduces and evaluates a novel ICN/CCN approach that can be applied in virtualized LTE systems for the support of service continuity.
