VI. IMPLEMENTATION OF GPS BASED TRACKING SYSTEM
After the in depth review of the GPS assisted tracking and navigation system, the GPS based real time coordinate tracking system is developed.
The system facilitates the tracking and it also provides emergency aid service generating the SOS message in case of vehicle accident.
The GSM is interfaced to generate and transfer the SOS message to the nearest helping service center.
This section provides the brief overview of the implemented system [3] and it also emphasis on the hardware implementation and outcome of the system.
The system consists of two main sections; one is the Communication Unit (CU) deployed in the vehicle and the other is the Satellite.
As depicted in Fig.11, CU comprises of a GPS Module, GSM modem, controller unit and a wire-mesh like sensor.
This sensor is usually incorporated on the wind-shield of the vehicle.
