Team and organization performance should be measured by assessing
-Productivity (the ratio of the quantity and quality of units produced to the labour per unit of time)
-Loss through scrap and waste (MISUSE AND REWORK)
-Profit (return on investment-costs vs income)
-Rate of absenteeism and staff turnover
-Product quality (predetermined standards and customer satisfaction)
Other measures such as motivational and communication forces, leadership, decision making, goal setting and control processes, can also be used.
In order to assess and evaluate performance, teams need to design and develop instruments for gathering and analyzing performance data. Members needs to reflect individually and as a team on what they have achieved and what opportunities for improvement might be taken advantage of.
