Fig. 5 shows the temperature profiles of the different sections of
biomass combustor during chicken manure combustion. The ignition
and flame propagationwas quick in the beginning and reached
its peak of volatile combustion in a short period. The highest
recorded temperature in the system was close to 500 C. This
phenomenon was not shown in other fuels burning trials. The
reason could be the lower moisture content, better porosity and
high energy content of the fuel.
