EXERCISING THE BODY
In order to experience fantastic health, I believe both vigorous and gentle exercises are necessary. Vigorously exercising your body to have a sustained increase in heart rate for at least 20-60 minutes, 3-5 times per week, not only improves your cardiovascular, respiratory and muscular function, it also helps you eliminate toxins from your body.
Finding a form of exercise that you enjoy and have fun doing, exponentially improves the benefits you experience from exercising. To people who tell me they don't enjoy exercising, I reply: It's because you haven't tried every type of exercise or sport that exist and therefore you haven't found the one that fits you like a glove. I am continually amazed about the types of sports of which I tell myself I would have no interest in partaking, only to find that learning and playing them is great fun when I give myself the opportunity.
As well as regular vigorous exercise, gentle focused exercises like Tai Chi, Yoga or Qi Gong dramatically improve health. I strongly recommend that you learn one of these three powerful ways to become and remain healthy life-long. Doing them daily or at least 3-4 times per week will improve your flexibility, endurance and help you feel more alive.
Tai Chi, Yoga or Qi Gong can be learned from teachers, within group classes, from videos or from books. Whatever way works for you, just go for it. I learned Qi Gong from a book that I found browsing around my friend's library many years ago. During my regular routine of Qi Gong, I revitalize myself and feel extraordinarily alive: excellent for promoting healthy cells.
