As a follow up from the 2013/4 Scorecard sessions last week, the next step is for you to validate the Earned Salary of your employees in 2013 for the purpose of EIP/MIP earned award calculation. We have consolidated the annual base salary information as obtained from payroll for salary planning as of 1 Oct in the attached worksheet.
As an improvement of the process, the methodology of calculating earned salary has been enhanced for simplicity and transparency.
For this year, the earned salary calculation will be as follows:
Pro-rated annual base salary for employees who joined in 2013.
Pro-rated annual base salary for employees who received salary adjustment within the year.
The consolidated worksheet is the same sequence as your scorecard, you may follow the steps below for data input/ validation;
Step 1 - In Column AE, Click on the filter and De-Select "exc" and/or "exe" for those employees who have originally been excluded from Pay Planning. Please review the list before you de-select them.
Step 2 - In Column G, Click on the filter and De-Select "N" for those employees who have been indicated as Not Eligible for STIP during Pay Planning process. Please review the list before you de-select them.
After you have done the above, the remaining data are the Active Employees who are Eligible for the STIP payout.
Step 3 - Most important part of the validation process, you are required to
Confirm employee eligibility "Y" for 2013 Scorecard (in Column G)
Validate employees' 2013 Annual base salary and transaction date (from Column I to O), it allows up to 3 changes of salaries within the year.
Validate employees' 2013 STIP % (from Column Z to AC), please include new STIP % if there is a promotion within 2013.
