Cells were prepared by growing wild-type or CLPs mutants B. amyloliquefaciens FZB42 at 37 °C to the mid-logarithmic growth phase (OD600 = 0.7) in Luria Bertani broth. The cell samples were prepared using modified methods, as fellows ( Kohler et al., 2000 and Rashid and Kornberg, 2000). The cells were collected by centrifugation at 2500 × g for 10 min at room temperature and washed with cold (4 °C) PBS buffer. Fresh cells were used in the subsequent experiments to avoid bacteriolysis. For TEM, 300-mesh carbon-coated copper grids were floated on 50 μL cell sample solutions for 5 min at room temperature. Next, the grids were placed on 3% paraformaldehyde for 15 min at 22 °C and then washed with PBS and distilled water. The samples were examined with a FEI Tecnai G2 F30 transmission electron microscope, which was operated at 120 kV.
