4. Discussion
In this study, it was found that B. cereus AR156 treatment significantly
reduced Rhizopus rot on peach fruit wounds inoculated
with R. stolonifer. This result suggests that the disease resistance
of peach fruit is enhanced by this biocontrol agent. Inducing resistance
has been inferred to be one of the major mechanisms of biocontrol
agents in controlling postharvest diseases of horticultural
