The vision
sorting system could separate Sitong tamarind pods at an average sorting efficiency (Ew) of 89.8%, with
a mean contamination ratio (CR) of 10.2% at a capacity of 1517 pod/h. Respective figures for Srichompoo
pods were Ew; 94.3%; CR, 5.7%; and capacity, 1491 pod/h. The contamination ratios met the export standards
mandated by the Thai agricultural commodities and food codification.
