Watersports and Diving
Cape Town’s beaches are ideal for water spots, including surfing, windsurfing and kayaking. Scuba diving is also popular: the many shipwrecks along the coastline offer some excellent divers. The more adventurous diver can even try shark cage diving to get eye-to-eye with a great white! If you aren’t so adventurous, try a visit to Boulders Beach. It’s part of a conservation area for the African penguin. You can walk around on wooden paths and watch the penguins in their natural habitat. It’s great for swimming and exploring too if you don’t mind coming face-to-face with a penguin or two!
