The totals of all items supplied and removed are then summarized on the ‘develop plan’ page of Annex 8 using the same color codes, and the national totals to be supplied and removed are given in each case. For all items removed from provinces, cities and counties, these are to be sent to the maintenance workshop at the central medical warehouse, where they will be repaired, if still within their economic lifetime, (see section 7.1.1 above), or disposed of if not. All R-12 type refrigerators are obsolete however, as noted in section 7.1.2, and these will be disposed of, whatever their age. For all freezers removed from field locations, these are no longer needed in the national cold chain as explained in section 7.1.3, and in all cases they will be disposed of and not repaired. For all items of equipment to be disposed of, it is recommended that they be sold by auction or government tender, and that funds resulting from this be used to support program me recurrent costs, such as fuel or other expenditure.
