Silver nanoparticle formation for all ratios was also confirmed
by XRD measurements. The diffraction pattern overlaid for three
higher silver:copolymer ratios is shown in Fig. 4. The diffraction
peaks are consistent with the standard patterns of crystal silver. These peaks, indexed to the reflections of (111), (2 00), (22 0), (311) planes, indicate face centered-cubic
silver. Silver nanoparticles have the same crystal structure for all ratios, as seen
in Fig. 4. Furthermore, there is no extra peak in the diffraction pattern
which suggests that only crystalline silver nanoparticles were
formed. The mean diameter D of silver nanoparticles was also calculated
using the Debye–Scherrer formula
