1. Introduction
There has been an increasing concern about the growing volume
of plastic wastes, which results in a series of problems, such as
environmental pollution and resource wasting. Recycling is an
effectiveway to management of plastic wastes, which is considered
cleaner and more sustainable, by reducing the quantity of discharges
of waste stream and offering a potential to replace virgin
feedstock in plastic production (Dodbiba et al., 2008; Duval and
MacLean, 2007; Radonjic, and Tominc, 2007; Ross and Evans,
2003). Some types of waste plastics are composed of polymers
and metals, such as pharmaceutical packaging, which increases
significantly the difficulty of recycling.
