4.2. Combustion oscillation characteristics
The combustion oscillation characteristics of the original and
modified nozzles for methane and DME are compared in Fig. 5.
The pressure fluctuation of DME is higher than that of methane
for both nozzles, which means that the flame configuration of
DME is eager to interact between the heat releases and pressure
fluctuations as DME burns near to the fuel nozzle [16,17]. However,
this may not be a significant issue in stable operations because
the values are lower than 13.8 kPa (=2 psi), the regulated
value of the combustion vibrations for an industrial gas turbine
