Isolate PO5 was identified either through cell and colony morphology or biochemical and physiological characteristics (data not shown ).However, due to their intrinsic limitation, ciochemical and physiological tests can only provide a preliminary identification (Saimmai et al. 2012b). Final identification of the strain was accomplished by combining the alignment resilts of the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis with biochemical and physiological characteristics. The results from 16S rRNA gene analysis were in agreement with the colony morphology, cell shape, and the results of Gram staining and biochemical testing (data not shown).
