It is important to note that emotions cannot be "bought" or
punished.To successfully relate to the affective states of
the employees and to understand the ways in which they
affect workplace performance, Goleman et al. (2007)
consider that two types of management skills should be
taken into account:(1) personal skills (self-knowledge, self-masteryand
(2) social skills (social consciousness,sociability). In our opinion, it is impossible to devise
effective recipes and formulas that can be reasonably expected to yield higher standards of performance.
