In the literature, a popular approach for providing the
optimal profile for this type of machine is by finding the
current references at each speed value such that the dissipated
power on the stator is minimized based on the Maximum
Torque Per Ampere (MTPA) principle in the region defined
by the current limit and by the voltage limit [5]. However,
this result is useful only for machine speed control, i.e. the
effect of the speed profile is not considered for the energy
optimization. The authors of [6] focus on the optimal speed
profile generation and the associated quadrature current profile
but only for the steady state with the non salient machine.
The same idea is investigated in [7] where a trapezoidal speed
profile is proposed. A more detail mechanical model and
the same type of machine are considered in [8]. The state
profiles are generated in the transient period based on flatness
generation with a polynomial time speed profile. However, no
constraints are taken into account.
