General Motors Middle East was established in 1979 to provide support to GM dealers who had
been operating in the Arab region since the 1920s, with a new regional headquarters in Dubai.
From its offices in the Dubai World Trade Center, the regional office supports GM dealers in the
GCC (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman) the Levant
(Jordan, Lebanon and Syria), Iraq and Yemen. It provides support in the areas of distribution,
sales, aftersales, marketing and public relations for vehicles sold under the Chevrolet, Cadillac,
GMC, Hummer, Opel and Saab brands.
