by stratification time. Germination rose with stratification
time, and after 60 days reached approximately 34%, but no
significant difference was observed after 90 days (Table 1). In
the medium with 400 ppm GA3, germination increased from
44.2% after 60 days to 89.4% after 90 days, and then changed
little with additional time. However, in the medium with
water, germination increased more quickly with increased
stratification time. For example, germination was 232.6%
higher after 90 days than after 60 days in the medium with
water only, while germination was only 102.3% higher after
90 days than after 60 days in the medium with 400 ppm GA3.
Also, seeds stratified in the medium with 400 ppm GA3
tended to germinate sooner than seeds stratified in the
medium with water (Table 1)
