Assumptions
As with any statistical test, there are certain underlying assumptions associated
with the use of ANCOVA. While ANCOVA is rather robust and can overcome slight
violations of some of the assumptions (Shadish et al., 2002; Stevens, 1986), each of them
was examined during the course of this study.
