Anne Wright of Laguna Beach, California, has a hydroponic vegetable garden growing in natural light on her backyard deck. The attractive 9″-deep, 18″-wide, 14′-long wooden planter was designed and built by John H. Rudolph of Laguna Beach, who also created the system that circulates a mixture of water and water-soluble nutrients through the gravel-filled planter four times a day for an hour at a time. Instructions on building a hydroponic planter and growing a hydroponic garden are provided.
