2.1. Cells and cell culture
Murine B16F10 melanoma cells were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC; Manassas, VA). Cells were cultured in Dulbecco Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM; Lonza, Verviers, Belgium) supplemented with 10% fetal calf serum (Sigma–Aldrich, St Louis, MO), 1% pen- icillin–streptomycin solution and L-glutamine at 37 °C. Single cell suspensions were prepared from 0.02% EDTA- treated monolayers which were washed and diluted in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) prior to counting and inoculation. Cells were stored on ice until injection.
