organochlorine pesticides. If mixtures of pesticides
have no appreciable interaction with one
another and if the metabolism of a particular
pesticide is not significantly influenced by that
of the other pesticides, it is reasonable to expect
the bioconcentration of each pesticide in the
mixture to be independent of the others.
From the results of the study by Veith et al.
(1979) and our studies, it has become more
reliable that the accumulation of mixed pesti-tides can be evaluated from data for the individinual pesticides.
