“One Belt, One Road” countries have established 1,604 foreign-invested enterprises in China during this period, up 19% year-on-year. Such foreign direct investments amounted to $6.12bn, rising 18.4% year-on-year. Financial services, leasing and commercial services are the most favored sectors for investment, while investors are most attracted to Shanghai, Jiangsu and Tianjin. Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore have increased their investments into China over the same period.
