Jesse Singh is 3M’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. What makes him most proud of the company he joined more than a decade ago is 3M’s “unique ability to solve problems in the world.”
“If we take something on, we have an ability to fix it, to make it better – and that’s something that makes a difference,” he says. “We use science to solve problems.”
His passions include emerging technologies, cutting-edge business practices and business-to-business marketing. During his time at 3M, he has led some of the company’s biggest businesses and has been deeply involved in the company's sales and marketing transformation. His roles have included vice president of marketing for 3M’s Industrial Business and vice president and general manager of the Electronics Markets Materials Division.
In 2008, his work took him to Japan as president of 3M's joint venture there. After returning to the company’s headquarters in Minnesota, he became vice president/general manager of the Stationery and Office Supplies Division. Last year, he was named senior vice president of marketing and sales. In this role, he is responsible for sales, marketing, service, digital and brand efforts across 3M.
Prior to joining 3M, he spent several years in marketing and account management for GE and led Arthur Andersen’s business consulting practice in Minneapolis. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
