6.8 plants/m2, selected to three clusters, a yield of 26.9 kg/m2 per year; b) “escaleriforme”
canopies of Vázquez-Rodríguez et al. (2007), which are placed in each crop bed three or
four rows of blunt plants at different heights and different numbers of clusters per plant,
oriented east-west, obtaining a density of 15.9 plants/m2 and yields of 24 kg/m2 per year;
c) interplanting system developed by Dorais et al. (1991), where new plants are planted
next to the old. Young or new plants have much more time to grow, while the adults are
harvested.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the productivity of the interplanting system
compared to the traditional system, under different densities, arranged on single and
double lines in a greenhouse without heating and natural ventilation.
