Students are often confused about plagiarism. If something is not their own idea or their own work, they should cite' the source. That means they should say where they found something. When students cite a source, they always need to know the author and date of publication. They should also cite sources for photos and graphs. Generally, students should paraphrase information from others. That means students can use the ideas of another person, but they should use their own words. If they are unsure about anything, they should come and ask for help. We are happy to help them.
