Qualitative feedback
In most cases, health-care providers greatly appreciated the intervention. They felt it was an emotionally impactful film with a strong humanizing impact. Many felt it would be very useful for others in their discipline. While many felt that 50 minutes was too long, others felt that this amount of time is required to assimilate the content in an emotional way. They appreciated the intervention’s ability to remind them of the human dimension of the illness – a knowledge which they felt may be eroded by the day-today activity of working with patients who are in a symptomatic phase of the illness, possibly leading to burnout-like reactions.
