Our Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety Program
The mission of Mount Auburn Hospital’s Department of Quality and Safety is to ensure that Mount Auburn patients receive outstanding care in all aspects of their experience. This is done by developing hospital systems to deliver care based on the most up-to-date medical evidence and the best in technology. Systems are designed throughout the hospital to achieve high quality, efficient processes, strong communication within the clinical team, the most ‘patient-centered’ care possible. We also assure that patients are free from inadvertent harm while in the hospital. The Quality and Safety Department focuses on proactive system design to achieve these goals, and includes key feedback from front-line staff as well as from patients in the optimum design of excellent health care delivery systems.
Using principles of evidence-based medicine, high-reliability organizations, reducing unnecessary complexity, and focus on patient-centered care, we identify and implement improvements to continuously improve. A key component is receiving feedback from our patients. Our goal is that your experience at Mount Auburn exceeds your expectations, both in terms of clinical standards and your experience of being cared for as a patient.
