This decoupling leads to significant less storage of application
specific information within the strategic layer, i.e.
detailed layouts of operational systems. Hence virtualization
of processes, an improved collaboration and communication
between clouds and corporate management will be made
possible. Especially economic planning is concentrating on
the strategic layer and getting more collaborative, while the
main objectives are still unchanged. The approach differs
with regard to Supply Chain Management, implementation of
strategies and normative planning. That will be achieved by
implementing a mission for every single involved CPS, following
the (corporate) strategy. Further the respective CPS is
performing it’s mission autonomously in close interaction with
other CPS. When further services are mandatory (which will be
the case), the CPS is addressing (standardized) business objects
and services in its cloud. Subsequently, business objects and
services - thus the required process - occur on demand. In contrast
to conventional Supply Chain Management resources are
allocated autonomously by CPS . Thereby only probabilistic
conclusions with respect to target achievements are feasible.
An Example for the future interplay between the strategic
Supply Chain Management layer and the operative CPS layer
is illustrated in Figure 4.
