Treatment with the 160 strain of B. subtilis decreased the Smut
Incidence Percentage (SIP) as shown in Table 2, achieving an effi-
ciency of 47.6% in 2010 and 31.9% in 2012. The results obtained
according to calculations of yield showed that treatment with B.
subtilis led to an increase in yields compared to the control plants
that did not receive treatment
