Further Section 9 of the Labour Protection Act provides that if an employer fails to make payment of amounts due under section 70 of the Labour Protection Act the employer must pay interest on such unpaid amounts at the rate of fifteen percent per annum during the default period. In addition Section 9 also provides that if an employer fails to make the payment after a further period of seven days from the due date the the employer is liable to pay an additional fifteen percent of the amount due for every day that the amount remains outstanding.
