Conclusion
. There was gradual decrease in all the seed viability characters of chilli over periods of storage starting
from 6months to 20months. Seed coated with plant protection chemicals alone or in combination with polymer lost its viability during storage before six months under ambient conditions. It can be inferred that under ambient conditions of storage the chill seed can be stored viable for 6months when coated with polymer alone and for 12months without any seed coating.
