Fig. 3 shows an antenna with DR Disc loading. Here radius of the DR is kept fix as R=4 and it is loaded on the feed
location such as the center of DR remains at location (2.1,3.478). From simulation results it was observed that best
results were achieved by keeping 70% (volume=101.96 mm3 for H=3.05) portion of the DR on the patch surface and 30%
(volume= 43.82 mm3 for H=3.05) portion of the DR outside the patch. So there is an air gap of 0.05 mm between substrate
and 30% portion of the DR. The investigation on the effects of dielectric constant on the height of DR and BW is shown in
TABLE I.
