Thank you for writing to eBay Customer Service. My name is Kamila and I am happy to assist you with your concern.
We're always looking for ways to improve the buyer and seller experience. As part of this effort, we've placed a selling limit on your account. We apply these limits to help prevent our sellers from becoming overwhelmed by large increases in account activity.
During this time, we want to help you create a solid selling foundation by making sure you focus on creating great experiences for your customers. This will help increase your chances of having a successful eBay business while avoiding any account issues that may arise.
These selling limits will allow you to continue selling while also allowing us to monitor your incoming Feedback, detailed seller ratings (DSRs), and possible customer complaints. This isn't a reflection of your account performance, more a way for us to help improve your selling history and account performance.
Because you're new to selling at these volumes, we want to help you be successful and to make sure that you're helping to create positive experiences. We've found that the best way to achieve this goal is by gradually increasing your selling limits as you increase your sales history. Not unlike a credit card company applying spending limits, it's common that if you don't have an established selling history, you may have a lower selling limit than more established accounts.
Our aim is to make eBay a safer place for buying and selling. In our continued effort to help meet this goal, all sellers will have limits placed on their accounts. These limits allow us time to learn about your selling activity and to make sure you're following good selling practices and meeting certain standards. Limits vary by seller and can change over time.
