The estimated LOD and LOQ values for the muscle tissue and meat
products were 0.15 μg/kg and 0.20 μg/kg, respectively. In order to determine
the specificity of the method, a blank sample and 0.05 μg/kg
OTA-standard solution were injected; within the OTA-retention time
window (8.16 ± 0.12 min), no other signal had been registered. The
mobile phase-based calibration curve showed a linear response over
the observed range, with a correlation coefficient of r2 = 0.9999.
The recovery values determined after the addition of known OTA concentrations
into the muscle tissue, liver and homemade sausages are
shown in Table 2.
