Further, the zero crossing time for the first pulse is
1.1071.08 ms, much smaller than 6.10711.76 ms measured for
large pulses but comparable to 1.70 71.6 ms measured for
medium pulses and 1.0471.32 ms measured for small pulses.
The value of zero crossing time for first, medium and small pulses
in the present study is similar to 1.95 ms reported by Sharma et al.
(2005) for microsecond pulses appearing within the first 10 ms of
cloud discharges. However they are much shorter compared to
the one reported by Cooray and Lundquist(1985), Villanueva et al.
(1994) and Gomes and Cooray(2001), which are 1374.9, 25713,
and 2178 ms, respectively .The probable reason for this discrepancy is because small pulses were not taken into account in
those analyses as we did in the present study.
