Erawan falls
When I was doing research, the 7 tier waterfall at the Erawan National Park was the reason we came to Kanchanaburi. The park is about 80 km from the town and a national park, so there is nothing around the park entrance. We started at the falls entrance and started our ascent up the 2m to the top tier (#7). The falls did not disappoint. The falls run over limestone formations into milky blue pools that contain "massage fish." We saw all 7 levels, thought #7 was a disappointment due to lack of water (it only had one waterfall, not three). On the way back down, we hit up falls #4 for a swim. We were able to use the large boulders as slides and had our feet nibbles on by the massage fish (technical name garra rufa fish). The swim felt amazing, as it was hot and humid. I wish we had more time to swim, but after 2 hrs, we had to go because we were on an organized tour. It was a great time at the falls. The natural beauty was everywhere. The falls were beautiful
