The map shows the density of lP addresses around the world. IP addresses identify personal computers and devices that Connect to the Internet. Areas with many large cities are densely populated with addresses. Remote or undeveloped areas are mostly empty. In Canada and the United States, for example, about 75 percent of people are connected to the Internet. In Sub-Saharan Africa, less than 5 percent of people had Internet access in 2007. Some areas, such as South and East Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, have seen very fast growth in recent years.
