Girls' Generation recorded a performance for popular live music program "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook" yesterday, and apparently things did not quite go smoothly.
Earlier today OBS uploaded an article reporting that the group completed the recording, and in the comments below, fans who attended the recording aired out some complaints.
According to multiple comments, Girls' Generation was asked questions about former member Jessica's departure from the group, their relationships, and their breakups. While these questions may seem like fair game in other cultures, these issues are considered rather sensitive in Korean media, and fans were appalled when the host asked such invasive questions.
In fact, the comments state that even audience members who were not Girls' Generation fans (oftentimes the guest appearances are surprises to the audience on this particular program) started booing when these touchy subjects were brought up. The comments do not detail the group's answers to the questions as a courtesy to the broadcasting station and the group members themselves.
The episode does not air until September 4, so Girls' Generation fans who weren't at the recording will have to wait until then to see if the sensitive questions and their answers were edited out.
Until then, stay tuned to moonROK for more updates on your favorite artists and idols.
