Forn means “dance’, while the words “Khan Dok” means A tray of flowers”. Thus, Fon Khan Dok means, “Flowers Tray Dance”. The dance was invented to show the way of Northern Lanna Thai people in order to worship the Lord Buddha. The movements of the performers are so graceful, and the music played by the Wong Phuen Muang, or the traditional northern Thai music ensemble, is sweet as well.
