Compared with the ‘Chok Anan’ fruit stored under the same conditions (Kienzle et al., 2011), the RPIKS levels (10.3–11.1) at harvest were similar for fruit picked after 91–109 DAFB (N1–N4) and variant N5B (115 DAFB). The same RPIKS range was still noticed after 10±1 d at 14 ◦C for fruit harvested after 91–103 DAFB at a RPIKS of 10.5–11.1 (N1A/B, N2/3A), corresponding to an initial lag phase of this index (Sirisakulwat et al., 2008; Kienzle et al., 2011) before its decline to 6.1–7.6 until day 18±1.
