The methanolic extract of C. linum exhibited a significant dose-dependent inhibition of DPPH activity, with an IC 50 value of 9.8 μg/mL. The IC 50 value of the extract was comparable with that of the reference standard, ascorbic acid (IC 50 = 5.8 μg/mL), indicating the antioxidant activity of C. linum. The IC 50 value in the reducing power assay was 8.2 μg/mL and 3.2 μg/mL, respectively, for the methanolic extract of C. linum and ascorbic acid.
